When a house is purchased in France, the seller organises the house to be assessed for such things as termites, mould, asbestos, lead, argon etc… all stuff that is potentially harmful.

One thing that is also assessed is the electrics and we had a long-list of improvements to be made.

So a local “sparky”, Matt and his colleague came for a day and sorted all the issues out, whilst also adjusting plug positions and installing a dimmer switch. One beautiful thing that they found was a 5-bulb light in a bedroom being fed via HiFi speaker cables. Beautiful.
