2021 Wall, Gate & Pillars
The wall running from the house to the entrance was originally covered in ivy and hidden by wild growing hazel trees that fed the local squirrel population. They had been hiding the nuts in the cellar! When uncovered the state of the wall was revealed and needed care.
The entrance gate was wooden and rotting and the pillars themselves were reminiscent of the Tower of Piza. The entrance was also not wide enough for lorry delivery – especially for pellets.
The small gate in the middle of the wall also had gravity issues.
So, in 2021 we widened the drive entrance, repaired the wall and straighted the pillars. Only in 2022 was the whole drive cleaned up.
