2022 Renovations
From 2022 onwards we could take a little break and focus on improving quality-of-life experiences.
We continued with decoration, notibly the staircase.
We also tidied up the whole outside experience, especially the drive to the gite and the gravel paths. This made a huge change.
Of course, it was the clean up of the Gite that took the focus in early 2022. The roof had been missing for 6 months. The insides were in terrible condition. It need gutting, literally.
Decorating the Staircase
The staircase had taken a beating after the attic was renovated.
Decorating the Living Room
The previous owners smoked and the walls had nicotine stains. The floor around the fireplace was also in need of attention.
Driveway and Paths
After all the drainpipe and waste pipe works the paths and driveway were in poor condition.
Gite
It remained open to the elements for more than six months resulting in the original internal walls growing mould and rotting.

The front wall was basically a pile of rubble in the garden and the front was simply a wild hedge.

Was a real mess and needed tidying.

The master bathroom was affected by the installation of the ensuite and the bathroom above, in the attic.
