The type of iron at Magnolia may be a little different from what you are used to.
There are three things to look out for:
- It can stop working if the calc collection is full, so it is best to empty it before you start.
- There is a big reservoir for water, which is not stored in the iron itself, but in the base.
- It will automatically switch off, so if you realise suddenly that you may have left it on, it will be ok.
As with most other appliances, please empty the water reservoir after use, especially if the house is unoccupied otherwise we will get mould.
1) To Start, Fill the Water Reservoir First
Simply pull out the reservoir and fill with ordinary tap water. Replace the reservoir. To get access to the iron, at the side there is a “Push” sign, simply push down and roll the cover forward.
Whilst it warms up, it prepares steam and after a minute or so, it will have enough steam ready to go.
2) Decalcing
On occasion, it is necessary to decalc the iron. Do this when cold and also have a sponge ready to soak up water. If the iron is on, this water can be hot. So be careful.
Remember
Please empty the reservoir when you are finished, otherwise we will get mould especially if the house is not used for sometime.
